Our goal is to provide an excellent experience that makes you want to refer us to your friends and family. Our estimating, scheduling and billing are designed to avoid failed projects and unhappy customers.
We believe that a proper estimate is important. We also strive to not accept work that may be outside of our expertise. We'll keep you informed of how the project is going and be up front if we encounter road-blocks or find issues that weren't knowable before the work started.
No request is too small. An estimate is probably not needed for minor fixes, but for larger projects we like to estimate. In any case, please complete the form so we can reach out to you.
How we do business
We strive to let you know before we start what the cost will be. Our estimate is based on $60.00 to $100 per hour per person, times the number of hours we expect the work to take. The variance relates to the technicality of the work. Our estimate will list expected total price the and number of hours. If we complete the work in less than 90% of the estimate hours, we charge only for the time. If we exceed the estimated hours by 10% or less, we ask you to pay the additional. If we exceed the time by more than 10% we ask you to pay only 110%. That is our motivation to estimate carefully.
We only charge for actual working time plus material and non-labor costs. Working time may include materials acquisition time. Non labor costs can refer to outsourced work, license/permit fees or expenses paid to another vendor.
Occasionally, there are hidden issues that can substantially increase the amount of work. If this happens, we'll seek to re-negotiate with you and hopefully reach a reasonable value. No one likes surprises and neither do we. What we won't ever do is leave your work un-finished.
We're a small company in a demand workspace. We plan our work with margin to allow for time overruns, and emergency requests. We'll endeavour to give you an accurate timeline and stick to it. We'll communicate regularly and immediately if we become aware of a delay.
Our estimate will lay out the billing schedule. Generally, for engagements with multiple completion points, we'll request payment at agreed points of completion. In some cases, we may ask for 25 - 50% pre-payment on our first job with you. We accept and prefer cash or personal check. Credit card payments are also accepted however we will ad a 3.5% service fee.
